The stretch from Selånger in Sweden to Stiklestad in Norway became Olav Haraldson's last journey before the historic battle at Stiklestad in 1030. The first stage of EuroVelo 3 - Pilgrims Route starts in Trondheim, Norway and goes south until reaching Göteborg. Follow the route to discover these historical pilgrim's routes! From Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim, follow (in the opposite direction) the road King Olav Haraldsson travelled in the summer of 1030 when he came back from Novgorod in Russia to convert Norway to Christianity and reclaim the Norwegian throne.

Contains only parts of the stage which are either developed, developed with signs or certified – i.e. sections that are ready to cycle.
