Cycle on the Pilgrims Route from the capital of Belgium's Walloon region to the French capital along rivers and canals. The Sambre and the Oise are Franco-Belgian rivers whose etymology refers to the sweetness of life... and there’s no sweeter cycling trip than one along the riverside! In this section, you cycle on easy, flat roads surrounded by fields and forests – the ideal way to recharge your batteries! Once in France, you are following La Scandibérique across the Departments of Nord, Aisne, Oise and Seine-et-Marne, before reaching the city of love, Paris. The entire right bank of the Seine river has been closed to motorised traffic, and is 100% bicycle-friendly.
